Extreme Dirt Series Racers, Fans and Staff built and designed two parade floats for the 2009 Belleville West Virginia Homecoming Parade held on September 19 2009. It was so much work on such a short notice, but we all pulled it together just perfect! We as a team gathered as many of our little racers and parents as we could and had them all there to support and show pride for what we all have in common and that is Extreme Dirt Series/ racing! There was nothing better than watching these little one's mingle and communicate off the track among each other! Everything was perfect!
As we were all lined up ready to roll another local series entered the line up and off we went! Ten Man Push Music was playing loud on our side, over 70 gallons of candy was passed through this huge crowd of people. Extreme gate coupons were passed out. And we ROCKED MOOSE RACING everywhere you could see!! There were several racers and fans in the crowd as well. As our floats ended the huge line of people, we headed home and tore everything down in a flash, so we could head back to the track to get everything prepared for Sunday's race! As we were tearing down our bellies were rumbling so we managed our way to lunch! Some of the parade crew was standing in line waiting on food and the phones rang... "you won"..."You won"... they were saying! We won? What do you mean? We replied?? "You guys won BEST FLOAT". We could not believe what we were hearing! We WON FIRST PLACE!
Some of you may wonder what the Belleville Homecoming is. Belleville, WV is the roots of the Lucas family! Most of the Lucas's have lived in Belleville, WV for many years. Many Lucas Family members stood along side the roads as we passed by cheering us on!
So we wanted to take the time and THANK EVERYONE who played a part in what was accomplished last Saturday at Belleville. It has also been brought to our attention that NO other Off Road Racing Series has entered a float in a parade nor won before! SO HERE IS A BIG CONGRATS AND A BIG THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT..
Once again as you all know, Extreme racers and Fans kick butt and we guarantee it!
